She's back: Rebecca Black, who accidentally became the embodiment of everything that's wrong with pop music and the YouTube generation thanks to her mind-numbing hit "Friday," will release a new music video on July 18th in an effort to prove that she wasn't a fluke success. Sadly, this song isn't about a specific day -- we were hoping for a sequel called "Saturday," or the prequel "Thursday" -- but it is once again about a length of time. The track will be called "My Moment," with the moment in question being the 15 minutes of fame Black enjoyed when "Friday" became the most celebrated/maligned song of 2011. The song's video will show the back-story behind this overnight sensation with footage from her junior high days up through the movie premieres and award shows she attended after "Friday" exploded. Whereas the oft-parodied "Friday" was written by the Ark Music Factory, a Los Angeles production company that caters to wealthy teenagers with aspirations of stardom, Black has recruited established songwriters for "My Moment." One of the co-writers, Brandon "Blue" Hamilton, produced one track on Justin Bieber's Never Say Never: The Remixes, and the song's producer, Charlton Pettus, worked with artists like Tears for Fears and Hilary Duff. "My Moment" will debut on Black's new YouTube page a week from now and head to iTunes the following day. Even though it's unlikely "My Moment" will come anywhere close to the "Friday" zeitgeist, the song won't be the last we hear from Black, as the 14-year-old is planning on releasing a five-song EP in August.
